Welcome to Now and Zen Health and Wellness Healing Frequency Blog Post!

We all have melodies that hit our soul, open a place within us, or affect us in ways with emotional depth. The frequencies measured in hertz or Hz have been categorized to various bodily targets or energy chakras. We can use music during our yoga practice to ignite these pathways which allows us to enjoy a deeper experience.

There are several different healing frequencies:

  • 174 Hz - Releases pain and heals sick auras. It may reduce back, lower back, foot, and leg pain. It is known to reduce migraines and stress. It promotes soothing energy to brain cells and may evoke feelings of love, courage, safety, and reassurance - targeting chakras and the healing parts of the body.
  • 396 Hz - This frequency targets our root and sacral chakras which are the foundations of our energy centers. The right to be here "I am" and the right to feel "I'm here" comes from our grounding and moving chakras with the elements earth and water supporting us. This sound helps to remove one from fear and guilt when these chakras are out of balance. Certain yoga postures also attend to these energy centers and are used throughout our yoga practice.
  • 417 Hz - Sounds of this frequency facilitates our physical change. It's also know to support the letting go of traumatic feelings and emotional blocks. Think of starting anew.
  • 432 Hz - This level targets your heart chakra - the right to love and be loved. When out of balance, grief is felt. We need the element of air which we bring in through our breath to support. This tone soothes our souls and encourages mental and emotional clarity and openness bringing us into a spiritual dimension.
  • 440 Hz - Our Anja chakra, or third eye, gives us ability to visualize and see our positive selves with the right to dream and inspire - looking past and not dwelling on what we see as failures. This tone hits our cerebral energies and can soothe anxiety and strengthen our cognitive growth also awakening our "third eye" chakra. Opening and closing our eyes, concentrating on different colors, performing our asanas (postures) and pranayama (breath practices) helps us to find that meditative state - making the body and mind calm enough so that we can journey to the inner realms of the sixth chakra (Third Eye or Anja).
  • 528 Hz - It is proclaimed that this frequency level contributes to DNA repair, removing illness and disease, ridding the body of toxicity and ushering in love and confidence, thus, supporting our imbalances of our heart and solar plexus chakras. Meaning we build our will power and fire and heal more from love.
  • 639 Hz - This tone may promote positive feelings and encourage harmony and clear communications. Building a better relationship with yourself and what is most important to you. Our visshuda or throat chakra is our funnel for all our chakra energies and sound is the element supporting this spinning wheel of energy.
  • 741 Hz - Opening yourself to solutions and freeing yourself of problems is this tones claim to fame. Helping with expression and emotional stability and supporting the ability to tap into your intuition. Hence, this targets your 5th, 6th and 7th chakras.
  • 852 Hz - Connection your intuition and spiritual realms is the frequency effect. It may help prevent overanalyzing and delving into negative thought patterns. Your sense of self and inner strength improve and support a new level of energy and spiritual awareness.
  • 963 Hz - This frequency is said to wake up our highest chakra or crown chakra, Sahasrara. This is our self knowledge and universal identity- realization energies. Looking deeper into yourself and reaching the highest vibrational state. To reach an almost perfect state of being may happen in your Shavasana and listening to music at this vibrational level.

I invite you to open up your spiritual realm and discover the chakras and energy flow in a yoga practice - whether its mixed flow or chair - the choice is yours.

I change playlists frequently and all our classes use various levels of frequencies and asanas to help our beings. Reducing stress, anxiety, increasing focus, concentration, motivation, improving confidence, sleep, long term memory and other physiological changes are some benefits of a routine yoga practice.

I have also been doing some personal / group classes for which private appointments can be made. These will of course not appear on the schedule. Email me with any questions and/or you want to set up a personal class.

Here is this weeks schedule.

Enjoy and Namaste',

Janet
