PART TWO - DETOXIFICATION

Hmmm, parabéns, organophosphates, formaldehyde, bisphenol-A, mercury, paraffin…OHHH, toxins! In my air, mattress, flooring, foods, skin care products, detergents, nail polish, clothing, candles…you’ll find toxins everywhere.

Over several million years, we have developed our own detoxification process in our bodies. These occur primarily in the liver where most of the detox machinery resides, converting toxic substances into non-toxic by-products and eliminating them via the kidney and intestine which have additional capabilities for detoxification.

On top of these innate capabilities, our genetic inheritance and the ways our genes can get triggered in a certain way can create a deficiency in this detox process…DANG.

Symptoms of chronic toxicity start when outside or inside accumulating toxins burden the body’s immune, nervous, and hormone-producing endocrine systems. Symptoms of chronic toxicity are often seen as issues related to those systems.

Questions to ask yourself …

  1. Am I sensitive to fragrances and odors?
  2. What about food? Any sensitivities - nausea, reflux, itching, watery eyes, constipation/diarrhea, gassy, bloaty?
  3. Sensitive to particular medications?
  4. To alcohol?
  5. Reaction to MSG in foods?
  6. Sensitivity to caffeine? Palpitations, headaches, jittery, amped up?
  7. Have I ever been sick from exposure to chemicals?
  8. Does cigarette smoke bother me or make me sick?
  9. Am I sensitive to smog or air pollution?
  10. Do I sometimes wake up in the morning and feel as though Ive been drugged?
  11. Ever have unexplained skin rashes?
  12. Brain Fog?
  13. Tingling in hands or feet?
  14. Is there consistent ringing in my ears?
  15. Do I experience unexplained muscle pain?
