Do You Know Your Body? Part One of a 7 part series

Without getting into a physiology lecture, I want to break it down for you. Living in the Western World, we have been taught that if we feel sick or something is wrong, we go to the doctor. Here’s a pill for your problem. Well, sometimes that works and seeing your doctor (or NP :) is still great advise.
But, what if you could find the ROOT of that problem and know how to help fix it on your own?
We start with learning about your body’s processes and throwing some really valuable information at you to help you.
Our organ systems are affected by these 7 core processes. We all know what it feels like to be “out of balance”. Constipated, fatigued, crabby, achey…those are just symptoms of something underlying going on…but what? These imbalances are part of the source and sometimes the origin of most chronic illness. They are the heart of our being sick.
PART ONE - ASSIMILATION AND ELIMINATION
Putting it simply - how am I digesting my nutrients and eliminating or excreting the by-products? Digesting, absorbing, and using nutrients and then excreting the waste products constitute a pretty complex process in our bodies. The slightest imbalance in any of the stages can lead to serious disorders. So, if you are only pooping once or twice a week, have stomach discomfort or pain, or you have frequent constipation or diarrhea, or your urine is a dark yellow color, that is definitely an indicator that something is off balance.
5 or more yes responses to the questionnaire suggests an imbalance with assimilation and elimination.

Save your results…more info to come.
In the mean time, seriously, if any of these are a significant issue, time to call your healthcare provider for an appointment:)
May your journey to wellness continue,
Janet
